Shaka’s Spear
Natal Midlands and Oribi Gorge
6-11 August 2024
Shaka’s Spear has quickly risen in popularity with adventure riders, selling out fast
since its inception in 2019. It’s a beautiful tour through the most spectacular areas of
KwaZulu Natal which are accessible to even newer adventure riders looking for their
first taste of a multiday motorcycle tour.
The riding is predominantly tar road biased with short sections of easy gravel
interspersed to keep the mind sharp and spoil you with the best scenery options.
We ride through the Natal Midlands, Underberg, Kaarkloof and the Ngele forests and
all the way down to the breath-taking wonder of the world, Oribi Gorge
Our accommodation is a luxuriuos mix of lakeside villa’s, bohemian guest houses
and quaint BnB’s en-route, all carefully chosen to showcase the areas we pass and
paint a memorable experience.
The average distance covered will be around 220km’s per day, keeping the riding
short, safe and exciting. We always aim to arrive at our overnight stop by midafternoon so that we can either have a nap, chat with buddies or explore the
surroundings at leisure before sundowners with the tour group and dinner.
